”Wow, it’s such a nice-“ the pink-haired girl was cut off mid-sentence, fuchsia eyes landing on the massive crowd before her. ”Shit… well that’s just great!” she complained, digging in her black leather purse to fish out her 1987 aviators. ”Ah, that’s better!”
Kori was used to going out in public wearing extra clothes or accessories, considering that many people would attack her- in a good way of course- if they saw her; man, being a superstar was real tough work! Her disguise consisted of a dark grey beanie, which flattened and covered her outrageously pink hair, and an abundance of heavy clothing- even though it was the middle of summer. Smirking deviously, the teenager strode through the throngs of people- and thankfully no one seemed to recognize the famous Kori Kimora. Not that she didn’t mind an appreciative crowd once in a while, but today she just wasn’t in the mood.
She spotted a McDonald’s not too far up the street and grinned in delight. Hrm, I could go for a big mac right now! she thought as she made her way up the paved road. Suddenly, she was pushed from behind, an older man uttering a half-assed apology before sprinting off on his way. Her aviators went flying, meeting the demise of a heavy foot and becoming nothing but shattered pieces on the concrete. Kori fumed, shaking her fist at the man who had caused this unfortunate event. ”You son of a~….” again, her expletives were halted when she noticed hundreds of eyes planted on her. fuckshitfuckshitFUCK! It was merely seconds before the screaming and hollering of fans echoed throughout the city, and the girl had no choice but to dash to the McDonald’s.
She ducked under grabbing hands and hopped over tiny children that were in her way, sputtering apologies along the way. ”Sorry! Sorry! So sorry! ‘Scuse me!” The fanatic mob wasted no time in tailing her, and they were right on her heels when she passed the McDonald’s. ”DAMMIT! See what you people made me do?!” she yelled back at the crowd, still booking down the street. She groaned in agony, but just when she thought all hope was lost, she discovered an alleyway between a coffee shop and a row of brick apartments. Glancing back once more, she turned sharply, ducking under a booth of fruits and vegetables. She watched from under the table as stampeding feet rushed passed her, and once the last pitter-patter of anxious fans was out of sight, she crawled out on the other side of the booth on her hands and knees. Magenta orbs blinked, seeing neatly polished shoes at the tips of her fingers. She reluctantly looked up, the vendor glaring down at her sternly, arms folded across his chest. ”Heh heh heh…” She scrambled to her feet, dodging the older man and heading into the alley.
Kori panted as she bent over, palms gripping her kneecaps. Since the most important part of her costume was shattered in the street, she decided to shed the rest of her disguise. She peeled off the beanie- pink hair frizzy and voluminous-, the sweater and scarf coming off next. Man, it felt good to be in a t-shirt again! The heat under the clothing had drenched her arms in sweat, and she waved them to cool down. A bench was parked near-by, and the girl wandered over to it, placing her articles of clothing on the seat before sitting down herself. She took a deep breath and exhaled, eyeing her surroundings. Hm, I wonder if my “stalker” is gonna show himself today…
