[/b] he told her and adjusted the bag into his right arm before making his way outside the grocery store. he dug into the bag of red apples, grabbed him one and brought the juicy fruit to his lips, parting his jaws and crunching into the apple, taking in the juicy bite. hmm.. callan groaned when the juice ran down his chin. he wiped it away with his wrist and glanced both left and right before crossing the street.
"will that be all, sir?" the cashier inquired. callan adjusted the paper bag of apples in his arms and nodded his head, displaying a natural smile. yes, thanks.
slowly he made his way into the forest floor, eating away at the red apple. a demon's gotta eat eat, right? of course he'd promise to save aaron a couple this time. last time he retrieved apples, he ate them all and well the este leader wasn't too happy. fortunately he couldn't stay mad at callan. let's say he got off with a warning. the young guard stopped when he heard rustling in the bushes behind him, but before he could spin around to face the new comer, two demons raced by him, knocking the bag of apples to the floor and him to his knees. on accident of course- sarcasm. "oh, callan, i'm sorry. i lost my ability to control my power around you and just- crashed." the demon smirked, clearly trying to get under callan's skin by bringing up how his ability makes him a risk to have near demons. especially when a hunters present. the other demon chuckled,"don't get too attached to aaron, loser. he'll soon realize your a threat and," he paused to run his thumb along his throat to symbolize death.
callan stood up off the ground, rolling his eyes. can you two not think of something better to do than repeat yourselves to me? i've heard it over and over again and right now i could care less. lie. he's always pondering on the risk aaron's taking making him his guard. but these demon's had no right mingling. if aaron wanted him gone, he'd throw his out with no hesitation. the guys shrugged and laughed before heading into the gates. callan watched the gate walls open and close behind them.
after a long moment he grabbed an apple off the ground and angrily threw it at a tree. it burst and fell in pieces onto the forest floor. surely the animals and insects were thankful. he bent down, grabbed another apple and threw it just as someone emerged from the woods. the apple was hurling their way. watch out! he warned.
